Overview
The citizen-ecosystem methodology in a nutshell:
- Real time systemic monitoring of sustainable solutions implemented around the world.
- Solutions are assessed in terms of their potential impact and capacity to be replicated somewhere else.
- Building up from the previous assessment and based on a strong local knowledge, solutions are aligned with local needs and prioritized.
- Solutions are adapted and refined to suit local objectives, resources, laws, practices and procedures, and become part of an ever-expanding sustainable toolbox.
- Local action plans are elaborated with a detailed implementation roadmap: targets, expected outcomes, enabling tools, operational structure, technical studies (when needed), evaluation and sustainability metrics and dashboards, etc. Despite the plans' high level of detail, they are communicated to all relevant stakeholders through storytelling.
- Implementation by involvement: the right incentives are put into place to launch self-sustained scalable solutions by establishing the cross-sectoral partnerships required.
- Performance feedback mechanisms are deployed as a means to markedly improve implementation and foster organizational learning at a systemic level.
